Boca withstood the onslaught
Boca Juniors defeated Central Córdoba de Rosario by 4 goals to 1 and advanced to the 16th round of the Argentine Cup. The match was played at the Coloso del Parque stadium and the goals for the Xeneize were scored by Cristian Pavón, Gonzalo Maroni, Sebastián Villa, and Marcelo Weigandt, against the goal of Mateo Bustos for the Charrúa.

Central Córdoba de Rosario took the lead in the first half, with a goal from Bustos, who took advantage of a defensive error by Boca. However, the Xeneize quickly reacted and turned the result around in the second half.
The Xeneize's goals
Pavón equalized with a shot from outside the area, while Maroni put Boca ahead with a header after a cross from Frank Fabra. Villa extended the lead after a good play by Pavón and Weigandt sealed the victory in the last minutes of the match.
